Civil Structural Designer
Description
Seeking a Structural Drafter for a position located in the Coraopolis area of Pittsburgh, PA. Responsibilities:
Produce 2D drawings and plans using AutoCAD software.
Collaborate with senior drafter, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate representation of project requirements.
Create sketches and/or detailed shop and erection drawings for steel structures
Accurately interpret construction sketches or design documents to facilitate the detailing process.
Create advanced mill orders and bills of materials.
Generate shop and field bolt lists
Review and revise drawings as necessary to meet project specifications, checking comments, and/or approval comments.
Ensure the quality of drawing deliverables complies with company standards and policies, industry standards and regulations, and relevant state standards and specifications.
Assist in the preparation of project documentation and record keeping.

Stay up-to-date with the latest drafting technologies and software.
Structural Drafter Knowledge and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent plus Drafting Certificate or Associate’s degree in CAD, Engineering Technology or Drafting or equivalent experience
Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience as a Structure Drafter/Detailer, Checking and/or Bridge experience a plus, but not required.
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D software (version 2010 or later).
Working knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and able to meet project deadlines.
